College Life: Unveiling the Curtains

College- It’s a very powerful word isn’t it? For those who have graduated, it brings back thousands of memories and fills them with nostalgia, for the school students it’s a fantasy, a dream they look forward to being fulfilled as soon as possible and for the undergraduates currently studying in a college, it’s just another word like many others because as they say we often fail to appreciate the value of things we have, we possess. Yes, college is in fact a very powerful word.

This intense power of possessed word has always baffled me. What is so special about one’s college life that it leaves such a great impact on the lives of the people?

Well frankly that was before I entered one myself. Yes, the power of this word is justified for sure. It’s a wonderful place to learn, to explore, and to stretch oneself to one’s maximum potential, to get to know life. College is all about the never experienced before freedom. Freedom is what defines college the best. So let’s talk about what all exists in college. College is a lot about friendships, relationships, growing up, decisions, grades, talent, seniors, juniors, future and a lot more. Well you would say we all know that and well that’s why I don’t like to write the way people expect me to but it’s okay to do it once in a while. Friends form a huge part of your college life, they are the ones being with whom you realize that you are not the only one going through the kinds of things you do. College is also very much about talent.

College is where you get a great deal of exposure, exposure to the different kinds of arts, talents, realities of life and a lot of different things. College is the best place to explore your talents and fulfill your desires to excel in the areas of your interest. But with these things comes a great deal of exposure to the various vices of life and as I said college is a lot about the new found freedom and the decisions you take. Since from here on you yourself will be facing the consequences of your actions and decisions, college also means no more parents' arms to lift you from every small fall so you need to realize that and try to take the correct decisions.

The last line sounds intimidating, doesn’t it? But let me tell you that there is nothing to be intimidated about,it’s not that difficult to remain on the correct path, all that you have to mind is the company of people and choose you’ll be fine. College is also a lot about chilling, chilling the right way. So take a chill pill and enjoy your college life, you’re going to miss it. And if I add “more than your childhood” at the end of the last sentence, I won’t be totally wrong and you know that is saying something.
