FAN- Well let's just admit it the moment we listen this word the first visual that appears in our minds is of crowd gathering outside Shahrukh Khan's bungalow Mannat every year on his birthday. From the first scene till the end, one thing clearly evident is that this movie was made keeping in mind Shahrukh, his fans and his stardom. The King through his fantastic performance in Fan has yet again proved that he owns his kingdom and there's still no one to challenge his throne.

The Plot Aryan Khanna, a superstar, has millions of fans and one among those millions is Gaurav Chandna, a typical Dilli ka launda (in Shahrukh's own words) who calls himself Junior Aryan Khanna, has walls of his room covered with AK's posters, drawers occupied with his lockets and a cyber cafe again having pictures and posters of his beloved star. The story begins when in the pursuit of meeting, wishing and gifting his 'Sabse Bada Fan' trophy to Aryan Khanna on his birthday Gaurav travels to Mumbai and ends up beating AK's rival Sid Kapoor to save him from a legal controversy. Aryan on knowing about his such a crazy fan sends him behind the bars and later comes to reject Gaurav as his FAN that obviously leads to a heart-break and conversion of a fan into a foe. The rest is predictable from the promos- the newly born enemy taking his revenge resulting to a cat-mouse chase.

The Verdict

Undoubtedly Shahrukh is at his phenomenal best in Fan both as a psychotic admirer and himself! Maneesh Sharma has portrayed raw Delhi once again and been successful in investing YRF's funds wisely with sequences in Madam Tussauds Museum for the first time in any Indian movie and AK's house created so as to resemble SRK's Mannat. It was also almost unbelievable to not have a single song in a YRF's movie and the best part is one won't even feel a need. Although Dillipan and psychopathy are Shahrukh's undisputed territories of role play yet he will amaze you with his performance in the film as playing himself differently from him.

Finally, we recommend to dare not miss watching FAN if you love SRK and if you don't then we assure you'll come out of the theater hall as his lover.
