All of us are exposed to the enlightening counselling offered by our parents just prior to class 12 boards. It goes without saying that they feed us with sentences like,”Beta, bass abhi mann laga ke padh le iske baad to raasta aasaan hai and padhai kam hai.” I don’t know how many college students would agree to that. Well, I being one of them won’t.
The parents are correct in the second part where they mention something about studying less. I can assure you that the syllabus gets exponentially reduced if compared to the bulky school syllabus. But the other part about life getting easier is a little dicey to comprehend and parents could be a little exaggerating in here.
Believe me life never gets better than what is currently is. No need to reread the previous line. I do not mean that in a pessimistic way. I mean it in the most positive way. Life is all about how we see it, how we live it. Life is the most personal experience one can think of. Life is to be lived in the present moment. Any dream of ours, any fantasy, any wish of ours only gives us temporary happiness. The ultimate happiness rests here, in our own minds. After achieving any dream, somewhere down the line you will always realise that this didn’t give me the heavenly life I had imagined. This life is not to be lived in the perfect manner. It is to be lived in its imperfections itself. That is why I say that life never gets better than it currently is, what gets better is how we view life, how we explore this wonderful and beautiful experience called life.
So my friends ponder upon this thought of mine, sit back and enjoy the joy ride. And it is only now that I’ve completed this article that I realise what the actual topic was, but I hope it is okay, I’m a bit philosophical. But I am sure it will be of help to those who the article was actually meant for.
Or let’s add here what the actual article would have been- Life after college. It is one of the best experiences of life. College makes you take independent decisions, the consequences of which you have to face. It gives you a taste of how life is outside your parent’s protecting arms. It makes you learn to organise and manage things. But with freedom comes great responsibility, you need to take the decisions wisely since you are answerable for your own decisions.
So guys life after Boards is that feeling of freedom at that age of 18 when one has visualization of a complete new world awaiting outside the protecting walls of parents shelter
