Indian cinema’s most romantic pair, Shahrukh and Kajol’s come back on screen after five years with action packed romcom Dilwale has managed to maintain the tradition of Rohit Shetty’s senseless comedy or we’d rather say overtook many of his earlier ventures. Dilwale is another ‘Families Rivalry’ driven storied film wherein Veer (Varun Dhawan), Raj’s (Shahrukh) beloved brother, falls in love with Ishita (Kriti Sanon) whose Meera’s (Kajol) sister. Raj and Meera of course have a tale incomplete yet.

Shahrukh and Kajol are the only reason two reasons for which you can afford to tolerate Dilwale because their chemistry is as captivating and scintillating as always. Also, if you’re Rohit Shetty’s trademark car stunts’ fan then also you won’t get disappointed. Music by Pritam Chakraborty is quite soothing and rhythmic and you’ll find yourself humming the songs once coming out of theatres. What takes down Dilwale is the lethargic screenplay and sluggish pace of the story. Boman Irani and Varun Sharma play their parts well and try to contribute their utmost to the absurd script.

All in all Dilwale is an ineffectual comic family entertainer that can be endured for once only if you’re a Shahrukh-Kajol duo fan and are ready to leave your brains outside the theatres while going for the movie.
