Spoon University – Delhi, an online food publication that covers everything from the best local restaurants to easy as pie recipes, recently conducted Spoon Scouts: a Foodie Treasure Hunt wherein 44 teams contested to become the ultimate foodies.

The event took place on the most renowned and suited street for this competition of north campus– the Hudson Lane on 1st October. Out of hundreds of teams who registered for the event only 44 could clear the online round to qualify for the “Hunt at Hudson”. The names of the teams sounded quite quirky including Hudson Wasis, Jalebicious and Cereal Killers among many.

The hunt began at Kake Di Hatti where all the participants were told about the rules and regulations and given their first clues. Basically the contesting teams had to guess the right venues, reach there, crack the right dish and perform a task. The other venues included The Bunk-In Cafe Indus Flavor, For God’s Cake, Mood Swingers, The Vintage Avenue and Jack n Chill.

All the participating teams were awarded with coupons of food outlets on Hudson Lane where clues were hid. The winners- Team Hogsters and 4 more teams won themselves Spoon University Gift Hampers besides that. Tanya Tandon, a member of the winning team said “We are so used to this lane that we didn’t require the help of internet to locate the clue destinations and this was an amazing experience for foodies like us.”

Spoon DU is the first Indian chapter of the New York based student run Spoon University and Spoon Scouts was the first event organized by Spoon DU that witnessed an enthralling response from students. A city like Delhi that is famous for its food and foodies all over the world, Spoon DU has come as a resort for all the food lovers out there who were desperately in search of a food publication for reliable and engaging content about their local spaces.

At the end we would like to wish Team Spoon DU all the best for their future endeavours.
