Being a collegeite, eating is the most common pastime that everyone has. There has been much said about North Campus' ambience, markets etc. by many so here we are with a list of selected South Campus Food Joints that are or have been a part of every South Campus’ student’s routine:
1. 34, Chowringhee Lane: Situated right opposite the Venkateshwara College, Chowringhee Rolls serves the tastiest handy rolls that are quite healthy too. Although seating isn’t available but the rolls are worth long queue waits. A crowd of south campus students is seen hungrily waiting in lines because the shop consumes the central space. Both veg and non-veg rolls are available depending on your taste.
2. Mithas, Anand Lok: When it comes to chilly garlic Chowmein, no one can beat their taste. Situated opposite the Gargi College, this place is gaining popularity among youngsters perhaps because of their pocket friendly Chinese dishes. It’s definitely a big hit among students there.
3. High On Burgers: When it comes to burgers, they are the king of South Campus. Though the menu isn’t long, but whatever it is, the best it is. It is situated opposite Venketeshwara College. Mandatory to mention their Chicken Burgers are the best in South Campus!
4. Jesus and Mary College Canteen: So when it comes to Bhel Puri, you mustn’t miss out on this canteen because they serve the proper Delhi street taste in just a few bucks.
5. Woodbox Café: Undoubtedly cafes have become a trend among youth of Delhi these days and Woodbox adds to this reason for serving the best hukka in the area but yes probably high on pocket too. This place is must a visit if you’re a café lover. Situated opposite Venketeshwara, Shop no.18 it has got quite a tempting menu.
6. Lady Shree Ram College Canteen: A big Fan of Chicken rolls, then this place will surely lure you. They have been a gem of all times.
7. Idli King: Idli King, 37 Nanakpura Road, Moti Bagh South, Opposite Venketeshwar College will surely stun you with their menu because they serve the best North Indian Dishes ironically name being South Indian. For a Delhicious food experience Idli King is must try!
8. Bake Day: Searching for the best cake on a friend’s birthday? Then, this place may prove to be your final destination coz they will satisfy you with the best cakes ever. Chocolate cakes are the specialty. Situated in the South of Moti Bagh, Shop no. 214, Satyaniketan.
9. The Chocolate Room: As the name suggests, there’s something got to do with chocolates. They are the best in imported chocolates. 37, Ground Floor, Satyaniketan, Opp. Venkateshwara College. If chocolates are your irresistible temptations, do visit this place!
10. Picco Licko, Satyaniketan: And finally, done away with a delicious meal? Time for some desserts to complete your day... Here is the best place for heavenly ice-creams and waffles. Again don’t miss out on this! Meal for two is quite pocket friendly.
